Be an excellent study program in developing Javanese language, literature and philology field and producing graduates who are noble, honest, excel in achievement, develop conservation attitude, qualified in work, strong in linguistics, literature and philology as well as supporting conservation pillars in local cultural which able to take part in the global scope.

Mission

  1. Develop professionalism and work-culture that upholds the values ??of religion, ethics, and norms.
  2. Develop talents, interests and academic achievements in the field of linguistics, literature and philology to achieve professionalism and independence in the field of Javanese Literature.
  3. Forge life skill in order to win global competition in Javanese linguistics, literature and philology.
  4. Improving knowledge, skills, and scientific attitude in Javanese linguistics, literature and philology through research and devoting the result to society.
  5. Apply scientific attitude in Javanese linguistics, literature and philology to actualize cultural conservation.
  6. Developing a conducive academic culture to bridge the students’ potential and achievement are well developed in order to complete the study on time with high value.
  7. Develop cultural conservation values ??and conservation of social environment to support university goals
  8. Establish cooperative relations of local, national and international scale in the field of Javanese literary scholarship.

 

Description

Javanese Literary Program is one of two study programs in the Javanese Language and Literature Department. This Study Program conducts Javanese Literature education with the aim of producing graduates of Javanese Literature field with qualified bachelor (S1) qualifications, professional, skilled, and have sensitive attitude towards environmental conservation, socio-culture, humanist. The graduates from Javanese Literature have competence in: 1) knowledge of Javanese literature, Javanese linguistics, Javanese philology and Javanese culture, 2) had skilled in Javanese language, tembang, karawitan, and production of manuscripts. Graduates of Javanese Literature Prodi are also equipped with skill-based entrepreneurial skills and journalism.
