Two UNNES students represented Indonesia for Robotic Seminar in Poland

Two students of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) were chosen to attend GO_PRO! – Regional Programming Centers in Poland from 5th to 12th of April 2017. With the theme of Robotic Development, this international program was one of the implementation of the cooperation between Dejavato Foundation, Indonesia and MERITUM Poland which was fully supported by Erasmus+. Those students were Rendy Irawan (Faculty of Economy, 2013) and Nurseto Dwi Nugroho (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 2013). Both represented Indonesia to compete with other delegates from 7 different countries: Kenya, Peru, Spain, Croatia, Poland, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Through the facilitation from UNNES’ Computer Science Department, both delegates had been trained to build a robot using NXT series program. During the seminar, all the delegates were given short trainings on how to build a Lego Mindstorm robot EV3 Series. Competed with trained delegates from other countries, Indonesian team stood tall for the Fastest and Strongest Robot Category.

“I personally felt that by joining this program, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge, specifically the fact that algorithm and programming could be learnt and shared in a fun way possible” stated Nurseto.

Furthermore, the representative of this program stated that there are going to be a follow up program for advance robotic development that will be held on November 2017 in Peru.
